Does anyone have this Sony FW900 24" Widescreen CRT or similar CRT? Sony does not make these anymore so it's hard to find one retail but you can pick up a refurbed/used one. I'm thinking about using it for gaming instead of my Dell 2405.

I was gonna get one but the only way they ship is to buisness as it needs to be sent freight, thats no problem for me but I thought how long that monitor would have been used if I bought it and remembered the whole reason I was buying a new one was so I'd have one that will last a long time. I bought a brand new HP p1130 using a 21" Sony FD Trinitron from a overstock/rebfurbisher brand new. If I can remember the site they had lots of brand new sony monitors for cheap money.
 
I bought the Sony GDM-FW900 about 2 years ago from Dell before they were discontinued.

It is a great CRT monitor. Simply one of the best monitors ever made. 16:10 aspect ratio, 24" 22.5 VIS, .23 aperture grill pitch

The only drawback as with all CRT's is that it is very heavy 93 lbs.
 
I have two of 'em. Great monitor. They do vary a bit in focus quality though. I checked out 4 and picked the best 2 out of 4, after running them through Displaymate over course of several days :D
