Well, I did have my eye on 2xU2410 until I read they don't care about the pink tint issue. Not sure I'd want to spend £900 for something thats faulty :p

Is there any 24" IPS monitors out there that don't have the pink tint issue and can be had for £450 or less?

Idk how much £450 worth in term of dollars, but I guess it will be very close to the price of a apple cinema led display right?

£450 is about $750. An Apple LED Cinema Display 24" retails for £635.00 in U.K. The price is actually a lot better than I expected.

Not much in the 24" market quality wise when it comes to IPS then. So its an Apple 24"/24" TN/22" IPS OR accept pink screens! :p Well that kinda sucks.

The HP LP2475w has the tint issue sometimes, but I know HP is willing to replace them if you have a faulty panel. My first replacement panel was flawless.

I have been thinking about this since the Macs came out a few weeks ago. Technically the Mac monitors are pushing the envelop. I'd never think I'd see the day were Macs were on the bleeding edge but the PC LCD industry has been moving so so damn slow. We hardly have any LED backlit LCDs so far and we hardly have any 120Hz panels either where as TVs with both those features are very very common and have been for a while now.

To answer the question, your selection is tiny because there are very few IPS 24" displays out there.

Thanks for your replies. I'm still not completely sure what to go for. The mac screen looks awesome but is costly and lacks the connectivity. Is it possible to do an eyefinity setup with the led macs?

I was looking at hp's 24" ips. Is there less chance of getting a pink tinted one? I worked out I can get two alot cheaper than dell. With hp 10% off, 8% cashback and minus VAT it comes out at £600 for 2.
