24 inch lcd dimensions question

Hi. I am looking to buy a 24 inch lcd monitor, but because of size constraints caused by my desk I'm having trouble fitting it in. I need my monitor to either be less than 21.5 inches in width (which I've checked and none seem to be), or be able to clear 7.25 inches from the bottom of the stand to the bottom of the monitor when the stand is fully extended. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble finding information on the latter dimensions online, and a lot of stores near me that carry 24 inch monitors don't have any on display.

I'd appreciate it if any owners of 24 inch monitors could measure the distance from their desk to the bottom edge of their monitor with the stand fully extended. I know this is a bit of a silly question, but I'm having trouble finding the information on my own, so I appreciate any help you can give.

25cm (=9,84 inches) with BenQ FP241W.

my dell 2407 WFP is a little less than 5 inches from my desk to the bottom of the monitor when in the full up position, width of monitor is exactly 22 inches.

Needing to clear 7.25 inches is alot, the BenQ monitor can raise up 9.84 inches... that sounds ridiculouse, but maybe...

Gateway 24" FPD2485W measures 22 1/4" in width. You may have to settle for a 22"
