Are the HP and Dell the only ones in the USA that have a IPS panel for the HP and a PVA for the Dell?
Dell UltraSharp 2410W is also IPS, if imported to US the LG W2420P also IPS, the HP LP2475w, and the expensive NEC 24" line.
The new Dell UltraSharp 2210W and Dell UltraSharp 2710W are very new with almost no details leaked out as yet.

Where'd you see that the Dell 2410W will be IPS? I'm wondering if I should hold off on a monitor for now. When does Dell normally announce their new lines?
There has been a Certificate No. 50153811 for a GS-Mark for a Dell u2410f, please see both URL below:

Also, note in the second URL, this new product makes use of the LM240WU4 panel, this is a LG IPS panel.
Supposedly the reason for the move from S-PVA based Dell UltraSharp 2409WFP to the IPS based Dell UltraSharp 2410W was the continuing loss of the enthusiast market (due to input lag et al) and eroding average selling price for the Dell UltraSharp 2409WFP.
Lot's of "reading" and lot's of "digging" to find out any information about Dell's plans an future models.
