24" Display Questions

(First post, Hello everyone)

Whenever I ask this question I get a slew of answers that just say LPS3994BWE, or any combination of product names. I am looking for a 24 inch monitor to use with my PS3, so preferably something with an HDMI port for around $300. I would eventually use this as a computer monitor, but for the moment I am concerned with my PS3.

I have been looking at the Samsung T240HD

These are my initial interests, as no one has given me a clear answer as to what monitor to look at and WHY. Normally I just get the monitor people either have or want, without a reason why.
Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
 
I think the reason why the G2400WD is so popular is because it has a low input lag and minimal backlight bleed. It is capable of scaling too. You can get it for $252 + shipping at NCIXUS.com.

I don't know anything about the Samsung though, sorry.
