so this is going to be cheap >$200 usd
it will be for a backoffice, behind a pizza kitchen so it will be HOT
but it will also need to run 24/7 cause they do their paperwork at home sometimes via remote desktop (or should i just setup wake on lan?)

i was thinking about getting an older optiplex or hp sff or something but i'm worried about their notorious capacitors blowing cause the heat.. so i was thinking either a bigger desktop with a good cooling solution, or move one of the sff's into a midsized atx

what do you guys think?

what are the most reliable sffs? optiplex/hpwise?

i'm trying to scrap parts together from the FS section but buying a prebuilt refurb or used might be even more simple..

another thing i had in mind was changing the HSF on the sff/optiplex

I asked the IT department in a company I worked for about the best brand that has the least problems, every broken PC are sent to them so they have to know, it was dell and optiplex is the model we used, it is a business model. also dell in general has lower percentage of problems in the first 3 years according to one report, HP has the worst record. sometimes a 2nd or a 3rd generation from the same model are worse so try to find someone who still works in IT in a big company, personal experience of one person is not enough.
