23" LCD with 12ms

That's just the panel I believe. I'm sure you'll see it being incorporated into retail/OEM LCD monitors soon enough. That 400 cd/m2 is incredible if real, considering the Apple is rated at 282 cd/m2 and the Sony is 200 cd/m2.

Yea, I think it is just the panel. I googled FLC51UXC8V and it mostly returns it as a part, but used in a 20" model. The link seems to talk about it as a display though. I sent an email to somebody in sales. Hopefully I can get some answers. I will let you know.

By the way Jerry, I was going get the HP L2335 but your post on your new Sony 23"er causes me to hesitate. Thanks for making this difficult :D .

Rofl. I haven't seen an HP up close in person so I really can't give you advice there...

Looks like there was a typo. The model is actually FLC58UXC8V. They have FLC51 in the top paragraph which is their 20".

Wow, wonder what kind of price this will command in a monitor. I'd be interested.

I'm guessing $3000-$4000.... Still too rich for my blood but on the cd/m2 side :p it should help drive down prices of the other monitors. Hopefully....

this co. is retarded. Can't view a damn thing on the pdf file. why on earth would they put japanese char. on their own pdf file? I've never heard of such nonsense.

Hmm, even though Adobe asked me to install the Japanese font package, I opened up the file afterwards and it was all in English for me. I scanned through quickly looking for Japanese but I didn't see any....

Fujitsu IS a Japanese company, so this doesn't surprise me....?

Well I received an email back from somebody at sale for fujitsu. He said Bell Micro is their distributor and 1-800-995-1999 is the number to call for info. Does anyone feel like calling this number and asking for a price on this LCD?

Why haven't you already?

Ok. Bell Micro only sells the panel to make a display so there goes that.

I've been talking to some guy at fujitsu and writes:

"Thank you very much for your message. I am very sorry, but I am not in a position to disclose the names of our customers whom integrate our 22-Inch W-XGA and 23-Inch W-UXGA resolution LCD products. However, I can state that our 22/23" products are primarily used for high-end applications requiring very fast response times and wide viewing angles. May I request one of our integrators to contact you?"

"high-end applications requiring very fast response times" - sounds perfect for gaming.
I can only imagine how much this thing will cost. Well, I came this far. No turning back now.

Keeping fingers crossed.
