I decided that im going to buy one of those really nice 23 inch monitors in the next couple of days although im not sure which one I want. Im pretty sure I dont want the apple one so that leaves the hp monitor and the sony monitor. Which one is better or is there no difference as they are both lg monitors?

A bit of everything. I like to game a decent amount but will also be using this for other things as i do some programming and some stuff in photoshop. I might watch a movie or two on it but thats not the main point.

The HP2335 seems to give people a balance of price/performance. Check out the HP thread, and talk to a guy name dave for a great deal. Also Buy.com is selling it for 1490...

why dont you want the apple? its quality control and picture is significantly better than the HP. the only disadvantage it has is it's not as adjustable..only reason the HP is worth buying over the apple is its very low price which is reflected in it's quality.

The hp is low quality. I asked this same exact question. Look at my thread:

In my opinion if you are going to buy the HP you might as well cough up an extra $200 for the sony, because the stand and everything about the HP just seems low quality. Dont get me wrong, its a great monitor, but I think the extra $200 for the sony is well worth it. I just bought the sony from techonweb.com for $1700. It's absolutely flawless, 0 dead pixels, no ghosting, absolutely perfect. I had an awesome experience with techonweb.com. Anyways, I think the apple is too pricey to be honest. When I was deciding it was between the sony 234 or the 24" samsung, and I picked the sony because of its 16ms response time. Take a look at that post and do some research and you should be able to find the monitor thats right for you.

Whats the best graphics card to get some games running in 1920x1200 with some decent framerates a 6800 ultra or an x800 xt pe?
