I owned an Asus VS24AH which I found extremely comfortable, unfortunately I am selling it because I am moving to Europe and to ship it from the US to Europe it cost almost $60 plus any other custom tax I might run into.

I really liked the VS24AH as it did not cause any eyestrain and it was perfect for what I used it for, coding, lots of reading and writing of text and the occasional cartography work and movie. The only complaint I had this that at low brightness settings the contrast was not the best.

As Europe offers slightly different models and prices I am wondering which directions I should go. I was thinking that to increase sharpness I could try one of the 1440p 23-25" monitors, although I might have to use Windows scaling to 150%. With the Asus I was using 125%, as I usually like text and icons to be big. Although I am concerned that even with windows 10, third-party applications are still behind on the scaling.

My budget is around €250 and the main features am interested in are:
- light AG coating,
- PMW free (or at least with high-frequency like the VS24AH which did not bother me)
- on very low brightness setting (around 10%), I would like a monitor that keeps a decent contrast which the Asus did not do very well, and that can go down to something like 90 cd/m2 like the Benq bl24111pt.

One thing I can tell you as a european is that the models and prices vary from the US. The Acer G257HU and variants are great budget monitors in the US, but I don't think Acer even released them here - however the U2515H started out incredibly cheap for a 1440p monitor here.

The VS24AH is 240€, it is probably worth spending the extra 60€ to get the U2515H.
