Ive been salivating over the 24"+ variety of screens for a while and am curious if there are any smaller reasonably priced IPS panels I should consider. Thanks,
 
Well, if you don't want widescreen (and I can uderstand that), there are a few possibilities...

20" 1600x1200:

Philips 200WP7ES

I don't know about more. Personally I'd go for HP LP2465 because of service and because it is avalaible. But all depends on the prices in your country etc.
 
I have a NEC 20WGX2 and love it. Its been discontinued so if you can find it you might be able to get a good deal on it.
