So I just got a new 2x4GB kit of 2133 DDR3. Thing is that when I go into my BIOS and enable 2133 (both from the XMP profile and manually) when I boot into Windows CPU-Z is showing that my RAM is only running at 1066.

I know my motherboard (Asrock Z77E-ITX) supports up to 2800+ and supports XMP and all that...so why isn't it working?

Any tips or ideas?

Thanks!

Edit - CPU-Z is showing 1066.

It is running at 2133. You have to double what CPU-Z shows and you get your effective speed. Mine run at 2000, and CPUZ shows 1000mhz

Ahhhhh OK...I had a sneaking suspicion that's what it was but wasn't 100% sure. OK then I'm good! :D
