I've seen a lot of 21 and 22" brands, but 22" is 20" viewable as so is 21" most of the time, with some 22" being 20.18 and some 21" being 19.8

So, what exactly, if a 22 is almost the same viewable as a 21 is the benift of getting a 22" ?

I ask because i currently am trying to find a 21-22 inch monitor but my price range is about 350-380$ give or take a few bucks.

I am in great need of advice because i want the biggest and best i can afford. I do some gaming, and watch a lot of anime and dvds on my computer.

So, if anyone can help me find a good monitor that'd be great. I hope someone can explain this 21" vs 22" thing as well.

sounds like you're comparing apples to oranges. If a particular 22" moniter has only 20" visible, its shabby.

Check your local newsgroups, Dell sells a lot of lease returns and around here they tend to be resold on the NGs. A 21-22" Trinitron (some labelled Dell, some not) go for $300 cdn ($240 U.S.). When my Panasonic died suddenly in the summer, I grabbed one and it was better than my dead one was. If/When you find one, just do a little research to make sure that that model isn't a lemon.
