Well, I've decided to return my 2001fp and pick up a CRT. The few 100 bucks I save will allow me to pick up the fx53 with no issues from the wifey! amen. After using this sexy ass monitor I don't think I can go back to anything less than 20 inches of viewable space. Anyone have any ideas on a monitor that will give me a beautiful picture like the 2001fp and the performance of my old 19" NEC/Mitsu? I've never owned over a 19" monitor and any help would be appreciated.

By all means, especially if you're already used to NEC/Mitsu, get the 2141sb, it's the best CRT. It will meet or exceed any performance you see on the 19in. You can get it for under $600 usually at Dell.
