I know its a waste of a post, but I was just so damn happy afterall the shit today (client errors, moniotr errors, burnt a PSU, fans died...)

but I'm just so relieved!

Its at 20800 PPD just with these guys

Q66 @ 2.65 running 2 SMP VM's
P4 @ 3 running standard client
N270 @ 2 running standard client (its my gaming netbook)
9600 GSO (3 of them) 550/700/1688
8800 GTX 600/930/1450
+ PS3 (900 PPD)
+8800 GT is on the way!

any sugestions on how to get more? dont say anything about OCing the Quad, its a dud, thats as high as she goes on 2 mobos
should I run a SMP VM on the P4, its showing 2 cores, same as the ATOM, but I doubt the ATOM would survive that

I am very glad to see those VMs working out for you. That is a very impressive ramp up!! Welcome to the addiction.

and this should keep Doozer off my back until he sets up the 260's
 
You can give it a try. I used to be able to run an SMP client on my P4 and it would hit deadlines. Only run one client.

You'll want to let it run overnight and then determine if it will hit the deadline. That is the most important thing. If it doesn't look like it will hit the deadline kill it and go back to the standard client.
 
think i'll be able to top 1300 PPD with SMP?
 
A P4 will do 1300PPD with the standard client now days? :confused:

I used to run a few standard clients a few months ago and a C2D would do 450 PPD on a good day. 250 PPD most days. Man I could fire up a few standard clients too if they are doing that good.
 
lol I feel it's equally [H]ard to fold with a 295 as it is to run your atom :) every bit counts - way to go man.
 
BTW I noticed you got some of those 250 pointers (on the P4 and Atom N270). I'm running the same version of fahmon and it reported the core as an SMP Gromacs, but it was running on a Pentium M! (odd, no smp support there) Still it was getting 2000PPD which is crazy.
 
Yeah, the 3798 projects are getting crazy points right now. My office setup only does 3000-4000 points per day, but it has been doing close to 20,000 for the last few days.

lol cheater.. i see that 768 point WU up there not working.. so you dont have 20k ppd :p lol im just screwin with ya.. nice work..
 
N/A's arent counted toward total PPD, and the PS3 would cover it anyways lol

Well, I got one of the new GTX260's up and running. The case that I'm using them in has terrible air flow and I didnt want to bake my CPU. So I have the other one is sitting in a static bag on my desk until I can get a new case. It's my wife's case so I'm hoping that she will want to get a new one early next week. :)
