I realize this monitor is an older model, but I have a guy that wants to sell me one for $50 and it's in great condition. Is this still a good monitor to use? It will mainly just be used for a secondary gaming rig I'm building for my son so he's not using mine. He is only playing games like Lego games and Minecraft, but from the specs, this still seems like a decent monitor, especially for $50. Thoughts or suggestions?

had one for 7 years using for several hours just about every day. I've got my pc and ps3 hooked up to it via a HDMI splitter and a couple of hdmi-dvi cables without any issues. Between the two I've thrown just about every type of content/activity you can think of at it without any issues. I think my panel is starting to show its age now (backlight takes an age to warm up and a few other issues) but if I didnt want a bigger screen I would keep it till it fails.
Little tip - if (like mine) the power button collapses into the frame just use some sticky tape to rotate it back to vertical and it will still work.
For $50 in good condition i'd be ripping it out of his hands!
