Would a 200ge handle being a plex/download/web box? I want something a little bit more power efficient than my i5 [email protected].

I am using a 2400g for plex. Encoding 2 streams at the same time is between 30 to 50 precent utilization. I would think a dual core should be enough for a single encode stream.
thanks everyone! Hopefully i can build a new rig soon.
If you want the best value, you should also consider the Pentium G5400. It's about 25% faster CPU performance for then same price.

If all this is is a Plex server, then you need the beefiest CPU you can get.
The 200GE's only saving grace is it has a much stronger onboard GPU than the Pentium. They clock it 15% lower, so it ends-up much slower in the productivity and CPU transcode department.
