I just recently bought a Dell 2005FPW, and although I love it, its not living up to the "gaming moniter" description that most people give it. There doesn't seem to be any ghosting, but I do get a lot of blurring in every game i've played so far, and even when just browsing web pages. I'm using a dvi connection, and it seems to be the same with both vga and dvi. Its even worse in AoE3 or Civ4 type games than in FPS, enough to give me a headache and make it unplayable.
I always hear that the 16ms response time is fine for gaming, and considering I always used a refresh rate of 60 on my old 15" CRT, I figured the moniter would be fine, and that I shouldn't notice any difference. Am I just one of those people who are more sensative to LCD response times? I really like the widescreen, and my only other LCD choice at the moment is the Viewsonic 19" widescreen, but I'm worried that I'll experience the same blurring as this. Or is it possible there is something wrong with the moniter itself? Seeing as how most everyone says its great for gaming, I don't understand why i'm seeing so much blurring, thanks in advance for any answers.
