yes there is a 2007FPW. go build a system on their site and the 2007FPW is listed as an option. http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&oc=2007FPW there are also TWO pages of threads about the 2007FPW here on the display forums. http://www.hardforum.com/search.php?searchid=3613483m3ta1head said:No such thing as the 2007FPW...the 2007WFP was $159 earlier today, you missed out
where was it listed at $159?m3ta1head said:My bad, I always thought dell just changed the letters around randomly.
I'd like to know the difference too then
well the 3007 and 2407 have NEVER been listed as anything other than WFP. the 2007 has been listed as WFP and/or FPW for quite a while now. it shows up as 2007FPW in the monitor options when building a system at Dell. there must be something to it.DanK said:trek554,
You've discovered a secret conspiracy on the Dell website, hiding in plain sight! Or, if we use our brains for a moment...
Option one, it's a typo, or a mistake. It's conceivable that some low-wage data entry worker at Dell got the letters mixed up, especially since the previous model was the 2005FPW.
Option two, it's in the system on purpose, so that people who search for "2007FPW" (not knowing that the letters were switched up) end up finding what they're looking for regardless of searching for the wrong thing.
Conclusion: the "2007FPW" doesn't exist, and the 2007WFP is what you're looking for.
P.S. The existence of threads on this forum using the FPW variant proves nothing, since you can't rely on anyone on the internet to spell anything correctly.
it still makes no sense. the 2007FPW is whats listed under monitor options when building a Dell pc. the other day on the monitor section of Dells site they had a 2007FPW with 3 year warranty and then right under it was a 2007WFP with 3 year warranty. they were both brand new and were both the same price. why list two different monitors if they are "exactly" the same?larken said:I think you're making a big fuss out of it for no reason. It used to be called FPW for the 2005 model now they changed it to WFP for 2007. The non-WS is called FP but if you search for 2007FP, then that would also pick up the word 2007FPW, so in order to prevent that they changed it to WFP. That's my speculation.

i didnt get any "real" answers. i have concluded that they are probably the same but i am still curious as to why Dell sometimes has BOTH monitors listed on their site. also they have different product codes.Clevich said:trek554.... you asked a question and got many answers, let it go. btw the 2407 was listed as a FPW and WFP also.
is been like that for months and they update their site everyday so i doubt its a mistake. like i said earlier.. why would it have different product codes if it was the exact same model?DanK said:The answer has been, "Never attribute to malice what can adequately be explained by stupidity." Someone at Dell probably made a mistake in the listing, which probably hasn't affected their sales enough for Dell to notice or care.

because i went to purchase the monitor Friday on Dells site and they had a 2007WFP and right below it was a 2007FPW. they both were the same price and had a three year warranty but their product codes were different and they had different available shipping dates. i called Dell and they had no clue what i was talking about so i am just trying to find a straight answer.vincentfox said:I do not understand why you are beating you head against this brick wall.
Why is this so important?
I ordered a 2007WFP and it's a good monitor. Got it for $350 during that July 4th sale. Actually it had vanished off the web-site at the time I wanted to order so I called in and the lady gave me the sale price. They seem to be the same monitor under 2 different numbering/naming schemes.
Why would Dell do this? Who the fark knows. More importantly who cares? Whichever one you order you will end up with the same monitor.

FUCK YOU. if you dont like what i asked then dont get in the thread. i know they must be the SAME monitor by now.SR45 said:End this nonsense with this guy. Same garbage on the Dell forum as well. Let it die
you have made FOUR posts on Hardforum and THREE of them have been insulting. stop being a dickhead. the fact that i am curious about something is no reason to jump in a thread and insult me more than once.SR45 said:Those, and anything else he comes up with
Next thing you know, he will be asking a zillion question on the Dimension E310 that has a pci-express 1x slot, but he cannot get a good video card to play games, and wants to know why ???

i am STILL curious to why they would BOTH be listed at the same time with different product codes and ship dates. if you dont know then FUCK OFF and stop posting here.
HOW did he help? he NEVER helped one bit. all he did was flame but you report me?m3ta1head said:Enough of this crap. You've been reported, troll. People are trying to help you and you straight up reject them.
