Still trying to find a desk that I can fit my damn legs under(I'm 6'4). The teal purse looking thing is a travel bag from a trip to Thailand. Clutter is just clutter.

Been lazy about keeping it clean, but I like it and it works for me.
I'll put up some better pictures in a bit.

Dude that is really nice setup and an awesome desk. Where did you get it if you don't mind me asking? :D

Thanks. I got it from Costco a few years ago. I'll look around and see if I can find you a model number.

A year or two when we renovated our house we had some custom furniture made. We got that made for us then stained black. The only thing I hate about it is where they store the DVD's. I have about 150+ DVD's that are in the lower 3 left cabinets. Its a crying shame as they would look so much better ontop in some DVD racks. But noooo they are in these stupid rubbermaid storage bins. Oh well. I will just deal with the TV. Also, the coolest thing is that all the speaker wires are run in the walls so the only speaker wires that you can see are the front two and the sub. Other than that its all in the walls. : )

Any more questions just keep em commin.

And yes, I am usually this clean. I need to figure out a better organization system for my paper when I am working. Also, I am in the process of looking at an aditional monitor for my system. 2405fpw if I can get one at the right price, else it will be a third 2005fpw. I hope craigslist or google base comes through again.

Heres mine.

Am I correct in assuming by Google base, you meant that Google has a Sales/barter system? Link, if so.

BTW, I like your house. Looks nice. The red on red is particularly stylistic. You have good tastes.

Yes. http://base.google.com/

About four months ago I was lucky enough to come across someone selling my Dell 2005fpw. I have not come across another since.

Thank you. I finally moved out of the "ghetto" last year to a nice area and decided to give the place some color and such. Mixed it up with some Reds, Greens and Tans through out the house. I found the use of similar colors through out the house give it a sense of flow.

Are those the leaning desk/bookshelves from Crate and Barrel? I've almost bought those things like 30 times now going back to last year, but never can bring myself to do it.

Yes, they are from Crate and Barrel. The side book cases are stock. The shelving over the desk is created from the two of the Leaning desk parts. It took about 2 hours to create the top shelving.

Also, I can't speak highly enough of these shelves. They are easy to put together, move around and support a very large load of weight.

Yeah, I really like those. I ALMOST bought them until I saw the Parallel Desk system on sale/floor model clearanced at my local C&B, and i bought those instead. I think the pics of the initial setup are on page 17 or so of this thread. That wiped out my furniture budget, lol. Still would like to get one of the leaning shelves and desk for the living room, though.

I looked at those, but I love my Jerker. I would not suggest the desk[Leaning Desk] for most computer people. Works great with a laptop, but not much else.

Here's my setup. I thought about cleaning up before I took the picture but said screw it. My computer got kicked out of the living room and sent to the basement.

Here is my main workstation (again):

The top two shelves hold DVDs just fine. They also are just about perfect for holding Trade Papers. Also, the bottom three shelves are deep. Going from top to bottom each shelf gets deeper. The Bottom two shelves are very deep. If you look in the picture one holds a full size HP Photosmart 8450 and the other holds a Audio Receiver, a XPC, ReadyNAS NV, two routers, a cable modem and a Audio converter.

Heh. I just noticed in the pic of your g/fs workstation..... is that a crate and barrel table/wine stand as well? lol, half the stuff in my place is from there. Cant get enough of that store for some reason :x

I like the space the jerkers provide, but it was just too big to fit anywhere in my smallish 1br.

I can tell you right now that the Leaning Desk is too small for anyone that needs more than a few feet of workspace. It is so tiny a normal keyboard wouldn't fit unless you have the DiNovo keyboard like I do without the keypad.

I have a few ideas on how to modify the desk if you are interested. I looked into that first, before I stuck it out with the Jerker.

Well, i just want it for a living room desk. Mainly just for show. My main workcenter is in the bedroom.
