w/ all that computing power, you sure you can't spare $20 to fix that chair? And what's the green/yellow bottle at the far left bottom corner on the 2nd pic anyway?

Been lazy about keeping it clean, but I like it and it works for me.
I'll put up some better pictures in a bit.
cc2096 said:Dude that is really nice setup and an awesome desk. Where did you get it if you don't mind me asking?![]()
sdk said:Thanks. I got it from Costco a few years ago. I'll look around and see if I can find you a model number.
JustinSane said:That setup you got looks awesome. Did you get that thing your tv is on at Costco too?

sdk said:Yes, but I can do you one better. That wallpaper is made by webdiod which makes alot of Abstract 3D wallpapers that I really enjoy. http://webdiod.deviantart.com/gallery/ has alot of them at 1600x1200 and the one you are looking for is on page three.

Here is my main workstation:

And yes, I am usually this clean. I need to figure out a better organization system for my paper when I am working. Also, I am in the process of looking at an aditional monitor for my system. 2405fpw if I can get one at the right price, else it will be a third 2005fpw. I hope craigslist or google base comes through again.[/QUOTE]
That jedi wallpaper is the sickest thing I have ever seen. can you hook me up with a link to those?

BTW, I like your house. Looks nice. The red on red is particularly stylistic. You have good tastes.

cfull said:Are those the leaning desk/bookshelves from Crate and Barrel? I've almost bought those things like 30 times now going back to last year, but never can bring myself to do it.
talon64 said:looks good
havalon said:Yes, they are from Crate and Barrel. The side book cases are stock. The shelving over the desk is created from the two of the Leaning desk parts. It took about 2 hours to create the top shelving.
Also, I can't speak highly enough of these shelves. They are easy to put together, move around and support a very large load of weight.
cfull said:Yeah, I really like those. I ALMOST bought them until I saw the Parallel Desk system on sale/floor model clearanced at my local C&B, and i bought those instead. I think the pics of the initial setup are on page 17 or so of this thread. That wiped out my furniture budget, lol. Still would like to get one of the leaning shelves and desk for the living room, though.
postalcop said:Here's my setup. I thought about cleaning up before I took the picture but said screw it. My computer got kicked out of the living room and sent to the basement.

geteg said:hrm, hows the depth of the shelves? the bottom looks deep, but the top looks kinda small?
i was thinkin about puttin dvds on the top 2 or 3 shelves. are they deep enuff to handle dvds?
thanks. =)
havalon said:The top two shelves hold DVDs just fine. They also are just about perfect for holding Trade Papers. Also, the bottom three shelves are deep. Going from top to bottom each shelf gets deeper. The Bottom two shelves are very deep. If you look in the picture one holds a full size HP Photosmart 8450 and the other holds a Audio Receiver, a XPC, ReadyNAS NV, two routers, a cable modem and a Audio converter.

havalon said:I can tell you right now that the Leaning Desk is too small for anyone that needs more than a few feet of workspace. It is so tiny a normal keyboard wouldn't fit unless you have the DiNovo keyboard like I do without the keypad.
I have a few ideas on how to modify the desk if you are interested. I looked into that first, before I stuck it out with the Jerker.
