I don't mean to repost one of my pictures again, but I've gotten a couple of emails regarding the lighting fixture pictured above.

It is a desk lamp from Ikea and is ever so wonderful. You will find the link below, as well as another link to a desk lamp with a similar lighting effect, with a different structure.

Negative, I think those are RS1s, unless he has headphile modded HF1s. Can't remember if he does though.

Anyways, Saturnine, I'm loving your set up. Nice and clean! Looks like it might be hard to reach the cd drives on the Tsunami from where you are though.

Thanks :) It is hard to reach the drive, but I don't swap discs very often and & the farther away it is the less noise I hear.

Ya, my Tsunami is pretty loud, I need to do all the airflow mods and get quieter 120mm fans. The ones I have right now are cheap generic loud ones, since I got my case fanless (and slightly dented in the top)

thats a nice setup, hows gaming using the laptop gfx card?
 
o its awsome, I actually sold my desktop and use the xps as my only gaming rig. It actually out performed my rather high end desktop. The only issue I had initially was geting the best drivers for the video card. I ended up going with some custom drivers I found on a forum and they work great. Laptop gaming requires a bit more tweaking but has been good to me so far ;)
 
how much was it? my friend has one *that he acquired through undisclosed means*, and it handles games like CS and other games of the same age fine, not to mention it has a decent processor despite it looks like ass old.

Nice setup, I personly can't stand IBM's laptop's the design it just pisses me off, we have about 20 of them at school and well i always try and get on the Dells

Cuz it's part of the frame, not the screen. It's a Multimedia display, not just a monitor...

Its part of my nVidia wallpaper. Its 2 'futuristic' high powered weapons positioned on a wall designed to simulate or mirror the effect of having SLI in your system.
You know... 2 weapons = 2 nVidia graphics cards.. John Woo style. I had Nalu as my wallpaper for the longest until I saw this.

It is from a Nvidia competition for wallpapers. That was the winning wallpeper. Digital design.. Not true to life :D
 
Here's my workstation. 1 thing left is to get rid of that ugly conference room table. waiting for the perfect desk though as cabling is a ton of work. system on the left is my worstation (games/CAD/photoshop/movies). system on the right is fileserver 0.7TB running FC4.

actually, i cleaned for the first time and decided i'd better take a picture since it'll never be that way again :D
 
That desk from Best Buy looks like the one sold Office Max, Futura something...
