I have the above monitor and I am looking to upgrade. I like the Asus VN248H because:

- slim bezel
- led (slim)
- 1080p resolution (my pc isn't powerful enough for higher)
- hdmi
- IPS (I also have another TN panel which I dislike)

Could anyone recommend something different. I would like to get a monitor that is PWM flicker free and perhaps with display port.

Monitors can be fairly subjective.
If you have any local stores with lots of monitors I would recommend looking at some.

But then pretty much everyone likes UltraSharps (Other than the price...)

Thanks for the link, pretty informative. I've also been looking for a 2nd 16:10 IPS monitor around that price range (Have a U2412m), unfortunately neither the Asus or the BenQ are normally available in the states (not sure if they provide warranty either if I somehow manage to import one without an insane markup). That leaves the HP which seems alright. I heard in some reviews that Dell stopped providing replacements for the U2412m for warranties, so maybe they are coming up with a successor for it so that might also be an option

Oh neat, didn't know that. Still, the 3 year warranty is only valid for Canadian addresses right? I don't think they officially stock it in the US so they probably don't have replacements
