So, I am REALLY wanting a 2005fpw. I'm looking on pricegrabber and seeing them for $479 shipped. Where's the best place to keep my eyes open for deals on these? (Besides here) :) Are there any good deals going on?

I saw some coupons that expired 8/26... guess I just missed it. oh well.

What do you all recommend?

You can get it for under $400 NEW, you just have to be patient. Dell releases % off coupons on their dell LCD’s often, but they only last about 3 days. The best I've seen it is for around 375 + Tax. You can get even more $ back by using fatcash from fatwallet.com. Register as a user then follow the dell link for 3% off. All dell Home coupons can be found on fatwallets site: http://www.fatwallet.com/store.php?store=208 , small biz is also there too. The best I’ve send is 35% off coupon combinable with a 60 off coupon, +3% fatcash, 2% Dell perfered account, plus 3% off dell perchases with my Citi card. Was way under $400 easy. Just wait for at lease a 40% off coupon. See If you need it now, you can go gamble with eBay.This LINK Bensbargains always lists the Dell LCD rebates and all the stackable coupons you can use. just wait for the next 35% off coupon. Have never seen that 40% off again. They come more around Christmas, or at the end of a quarter, but I own a 2405fpw.. just amazing monitor btw that you could probably get for around 600-700 very soon. good luck.
 
Call up the Dell peripherals sales line as a business owner and keep calling and working them down while keeping quote numbers as a safety.

It works, period.

EDIT: In fact, can we get a sticky in this forum to post once and for all how to get Dell monitors for cheap? This comes up once every two days.

Also, when I got my 2005FPW I paid $380 USD with free overnight shipping.
 
There's a 2450fpw... $530 buy-it-now on ebay. Plus $60 shipping. Plus $10 insurance. That make it $600 total. New.

Is this a good deal? Also, how do you feel about buying things like this- that seem to be a good deal... on ebay?

In fact I would never buy a LCD off E-Bay.

$600... ebay... one person says no... everyone else?
 
The only time I would ever sell my LCD on ebay would be if I had some dead pixels or something and I wanted a new monitor.... its like buying a PSU from ebay... i mean.... you know.... ?
 
Definitely don't go for one on eBay. I almost made that mistake, but then decided to be patient and wait for the coupon codes to be released. These monitors are known for their problems, so if you were to get one with backlight bleeding and some dead pixels, returning the thing would be a pain in the ass. At least that's my opinion. I'm actually waiting for the coupons to be released again, as I am getting a second 2005FPW very soon. :D So be patient, it'll be worth it.

Hell, I am just looking for a coupon that will knoc me down into the 400-600 range. Havent had much luck so far.

you are going to have to wait for a bit. Dell might have some holiday deals, but the quarter doesn't end until January.
 
Hopefully there will be a deal before the holidays. I am trying to score a 2405 for Xmas :p
