Hello, i recently purchased a Sapphire 9800pro 128mb to upgrade my ti4200 but when i hook it up via DVI i get weird squares and stuff on the screen. I have a 2005fpw and it works fine with my ti4200 but not this. I also tried hooking up with analog signal but that doesn't work at all. I remember reading about other people having similar static problems, just wondering if anyone knows what to do, i don't think its a hardware problem though. Thanks and here's a picture

it's 480 watts i believe and it handled the 6600gt i had in it for a couple weeks fine. I also installed the latest BIOS and chipset drivers. I'm hoping the card isn't screwed up :(, i bought it off a guy at anandtech and i dunno if he'll llet me return it.

Your PSU is more than enough for that card. Try the card in another system if you can. If it is still screwed up, I would contact the seller. I'm sure he does't want to screw up his heatware if he has any.

Not sure if this will help or not, but I was switching vid cards around the other day and forgot to plug in the molex power supply to one of the cards....it would function, but you could tell that something was amiss. It won't hurt to check :)

yep i forgot to plug in the molex power supply. But it still isn't working, now i get a screen similar to before but with a staticy square representing my cursor, which i'm able to move around.
