This joke maybe applied like 2 years ago. Today the Canadian Dollar is worth around 0.86 US and they're predicting it will hit around 0.90 US.

I noticed the notebook first but then see the green and thought id throw it i there.

where did you get that cabinet for around your TV? im lookin for one for mine but havent seen to many. Actually ive only seen 1 and it was 600 bucks

t10 - where did you get that head phone holder at? is it just another banana hamook that you adopted for your head phones? I checked my local target last night and they didnt have anything remotley close to what i see ppl. use on these forums for head phone holders.

The wood piece that hold the case off the ground was actually a piece that went over the monitor. But after 30 mintues of drilling and nailing, this is how my desk turned out -- much better than what it was before.

Why not move the case to the other side of the desk or even the floor so you can see your monitor from your bed? I love chatting and watching movies from my bed...no not those kind of movies :p

After getting some birthday money, I finally got a respectable looking desk for $99 at Target no less. This thing is all real wood and is JUST what I was looking for in a desk:





I even went back and found they had the whole suite on sale a couple days after I had bought the desk, got the bench and an end table. You can see my old POS corner desk in this picture:


Total Cost for all the stuff I got was around $230... definitely some nice furniture for the price, don't you think?

Hey, would you be willing to make me an Altoid case for my Zen Micro? How much would you charge?
 
Just do it yourself, it's pretty simple. Get a Altoids tin, and cut a hole in it for the headphones, usb cable, and power switch, and line it with felt. for mine I took a nail, pounded it through the bottom, and used pliers to bend the metal untill I had a hole big enough. My friend used a dremel, took him about 15 minutes total. Then just glue some felt, or cut up a mousepad, or anything else thats soft, thin, and won't scratch.

But yeah, if you really wanted me to make you one I could. I'd just have to dig up some more felt somewhere, I already have a ton of extra tins in case I want to mod something. :D
 
Yeah, I tried making my own, and it was working, but I can't make a precise enough cut for the openings. Plus I went and screwed it up and painting the case.
 
hey el rolio is your house pre wired for sata tv? the reason im asking is that i notice that your cable outlet has both an incoming and feedback line.

well uh, not quote sure what you mean about the feedback line but, this is what i can tell you.

first, we built this room last summer by taking half of the 3-season porch and using it to extend the "master" bedroom which basically could not fit a queen size bed, tele and dresser and computer. so we knocked out the window in the bedroom, cased it out ot be a "doorway" and leveled the floor, put in hardwood insulation etc etc. the guys that helped me n ma pops did a shoddy job. the month before i had split the large living room to make a new bedroom so i was not about to make this outside room. anyhoo the main things we made sure ot build for was:

ample electronic outlets and a strong line to those outlets. so i have that big 4 plugger there plus one on the opposite wall (AC unit / space heater plugs in there). also is to wire up the place for the ethernet and if we doing that we might as well run the coax plate too cuz directv pwns everything. this is also cuz you never know when i might wanna do some media center type stuff etc. anyhoo, so we ran all the ethernet cables for that room, the new bedroom and to a couple other places in whatever new walls we couldd with hte wireless router in the basement receiving all the terminations.

the lasst thing considered was the desk. im a very aprticular person. i only use mac keyboards... i liek to have as clean a desk as living possible and i needed a HUGE desk. i hate keyboard drawers, hate drawers under the desk and HATE desks that are too low and too shallow. ive wanted a jerker or alternative for a long time andd ikea opened up the week before we began building hte room. so we built the walls and chose the door to fit the dimensions of the ikea desk. awesome.
 
why is it every time i see that desk it makes me made cuz i got that SAME desk and cant keep it clean! :p
