I know, my chair sucks. It has storage in it, though, so its kind of useful. Not too comfortable. I need a new one!

My chair looks like a$$ and is ripped, but it still comfy enough for me to hang onto 'er....so it's all good. :)

Here's my happy place. The Red Machine is my downloading computer put in the DMZ on my network. It keeps all the bad stuff out of my main rig (the CM stacker).
WS.jpg

The CM stacker has a dual monitor set-up with the Dell 2001FP as my main screen and I use a Samsung HLN 4365 DLP TV as the secondary display. The DLP is also used for PS2 gaming.

I use all AMD, even the Laptop. PEACE

The all-black setup. For those of you who want to know where I got my desk, I got it at Costco in like 1999, for $99. I lucked out on the keyboard tray, all the models they carry now have smaller trays.

Very nice setup. I would take your download machine out of the DMZ. Just a suggestion. Your reason you said you have it in there doesnt make sense.

I think he meant that the red machine is in the DMZ so he can download with it, allowing his normal machine to not be in the DMZ and thus protecting it.

Umm, how rich are you again? ;)

Scheizekopf,
I'm not an expert on LAN's, so any suggestions you could offer would be appreciated. The RedMachine is in the DMZ so I'm able to achieve a high ID on emule and I don't use a firewall. I've tried other ways before, but it seems I get the best download rates using this method with emule and bittorrent. I use D-link hardware if that helps. Email me if you have some technical suggestions I could implement to make it even more secure. peace

If you forward the correct ports of the download programs to the IP of that computer it would make that system much more secure than being completely open to the Internet on the DMZ.

Search the networking forum. Much more help in there than in this thread.

Hey that's pretty cool you have that bad boy mounted... :)
Is that 22" ?

Yes it is a 22" Viewsonic p225f and I mounted it with this  . Pretty nerve racking placing it on there the first time. The monitor weighs 78lbs and the wall mount is rated for 88lbs. My house is very small and we save/make space where we can, this is in my living room I use it for TV too.

Damn Imagine... the thing snaps for no reason that big ass machine rolling on your lap and pulvurizin your hands(exaggerated sp?) wow thats's gotta hurt... and man where did you get that round chair need one to use it as foot stool something like that...

Mike,

I can imagine being a little hesitant... It's only natural to be worried about the mount ripping out a huge chunk of the wall and your monitor falling to it's doom. ;)

I've been thinking about mounting a TV so I'm kind of interested...

I can't find any prices or links to buy on their site, where did you get it and how much did it cost?

rofl :D

It is a foot stool, but when I am on the PC it's a chair ;) . Hey my living room already looks prety crazy with all this stuff in it now, the last thing I need is a big office chair rolling around in there! :p

Nah........it's good......I have five 3" screws holding the mounting plate to the wall!

And besides if it falls you all get to see the pics. :D

I bought it for 50$ at Home Depot.

I bought my at Home Depot too. I was afraid at first that my projector would fall off the mount, but so far it's been very stable. I live in an apartment, so I couldn't ceiling mount it. Plus, I take my projector to different venues, so I needed a mounting station that was easy access and not permanent, so this was perfect. I also paid $50.

Diek---get some more pictures of it projecting man, looks cool, maybe I missed them on the other page but I dont think so.

wow.. as i sat and looked through this thread from beginning to end.. yall almost make me want to graduate from college so i actually have money to get a decent setup... but not quite... gotta love no 9-5 job, just working everytime im not in class....
Seeing everyone that has deskspace also makes me jealous... if only my closet of a room would fit my desk; I wouldnt have to use this pos hand me down desk which leaves me with no desk space at all...

I sit back on my futon (behind the chair) with my extended keyboard and MX1000 mouse which is about 8 feet away from the screen. Suits my eyes just fine. :p

Arkos...that lamp of yours rocks. I have the same one for 3 years now and it has yet to burn out on me.
