When I first got my monitor, I noticed that black wasn't completely black on my desktop. I expected that due to it not displaying true black, but I am somewhat confused. I'm sitting here reading the forums and the black background on the forums and main page look completely black. Can anyone explain why? Any help would be appreciated.

It's an illusion. It's still not black but seems to be more black because of the contrasting white on the site.
