Before the upgrade(huh?) of the forum this was by far the best monitor forum where you got milelong threads with tons of HQ pictures in several(if not all..?) games. But now after the upgrade I can't seem to find those threads, aren't the old threads left?

If they aren't: Make your own or borrow this thread and post all your pictures and reviews of the Dell 2001FP!

If they are: Please link to them here. Or make another one! ;)

I never did understand what was the point of people judging an LCD's image quality with taking a snap shot with a camera.

after all, everyone knows that a pic is no where near the same as looking at the screen with one's own two eyes.

so isnt it kind of pointless to do this in the first place?

Mine:

Came with 2 dead pixels but a third died on the trip home from school. Just the slightest backlight problem in the upper right but not bad at all.

No dead pixels, no backlight problem, minor screen door effect (1st unit too ;) )

A couple of pics of mine:

Running in Windows (This was originally taken for another forum)

And a pic from the XBox (which is curretly hooked up to the S-Video input, since I haven't gotten around to buying a XBox VGA adapter. This is from a cutscene, so it doesn't provide a very good example.

And a pic of the XBox dashboard in stretch mode. Although it may look like it from this, there are no dead pixels on mine. The spots you're seeing here appear to be from the digital camera I used to take this.

Wow... Still saving up for mine.... Will post pics when I get it :p ;)

I had a 2001fp, but sent it back and bought the 1801fp. Best decision I have made regarding hardware in quite some time.
