So I got back from a LAN and found a half-inch or so long scratch on the upper/middle of my 2001FP... I had my LCD in my satchel with nothing else and I've taken it to many lans. But I'm a newb for not putting a towel around it before I put it in my satchel just to be extra careful. So I searched around and found this stuff called Displex and I'm wondering if anyone here has tried it or ever heard of it. I read from a couple of sites people used it to repair TFT scratches on laptops and other displays.

I'd be very suprised if theres an easy way to get this scratch out by just buying an 8$ tube of scratch remover... but it would be damn nice!

Thx for any input

:(

Scratches in the anti glare coatings are a real menace. If it's $8 go for it and let us know. Big payoff if it works and not a real loss if it doesn't cut it.

You'll probably make it worse by distorting the area around the scratch. Call Dell and ask them what you can do before you apply that stuff.
