2001fp problem

I never turn the power off on my 2001fp when I shut down my computer. When I start the computer, I have to power off and on the monitor, or all I get is a black screen. Same thing happens on a restart. Anyone else have this problem?

I don't. I never turn off my 2001fp either and it always comes on when I turn my computer on... Not sure what's going on with yours...

You using the dvi interface?

Yes. The strange thing is that I don't remember it happening when I first got it, but I may have been turning it off. Once it's on, there are no problems with it.

Anyone else?

YES YES YES... I had the exact same problem!! I bought 2 of the 2001fps and one did it and one doesn't. I called Dell and they sent me another one right away and this one doesn't have the problem. Mine would also not wake up from screen saver mode!

Called Dell tech support and they had me reset the monitor to default settings and it solved the problem.
