The base price of the 2001FP went up $50 to $1049.95. Glad I ordered mine just before the sale ended last night. That's still crap that they raised the price :(
 
Buy something different. It isnt the ultimate monitor.
 
they raised the price because they are a greedy pile of shit company, and they know that because its probably flying out of their warehouse, people will still pay for it. I don't know why though, I'm sure you can get something better from NEC, Viewsonic or the rest of em.
 
Bought mine when they were first heard of and supposedly unavailable. I'm very pleased with the monitor and had no problem dropping the money I did on it.
 
Or you could spend $50 more and have a Samsung 21.3..don't hear much complaing about those;)

i think all Titan was trying to say is that every other post in this particular forum is about the 2001fp, not to say it isnt deservant of the praise, just that im sure everyones tired of hearing about it

I went around promoting the monitor I possess, I let the others do the same. I realize what I have isnt the best in every aspect, but neither is the 2001FP. people are going to know that. If they still wish to stick to a certain side, best of luck to them. Seriously.

Ozzmonster two posts above is the leading proponent of the 2001 FP as much as I am the same for the NEC FP 2141. So shall it be.

those are 25ms. the 2001fp is only 16ms,
and i believe that the 2001fp is a bit more than $50 less

if you have a really good video card u can game at 1600x1200
if you have a really bad video card u can game at 800x600 :D

it scales fine, its hard to tell when its not running native res

That 16ms time is black and white, not even grey scale. If you shop around the Samsung can be had for 1100 after rebates...usually more often then Dell has a "sale".

My neighbor got the dell piece yesterday and brought it over, it is a nice monitor and I do like the 1600 x 1200 part for sure..but.. He is returing it and buying and Envision 9110. It's the first side by side I had done with that particular Dell unit. My Envison on an ATI 9800 pro is just plain faster (pixel wise, far less ghosting then the Dell) playing games on the DVI output.

I used to game at 1600x1200, why not? Now I game at 1080x1024 cause that's my current limit.:D
