I got the replacement today and of course the first thing I checked was the problem that moved me to exchange in the first place... the backlight in the upper right. Switched on... freakin' perfect. "Woohoo", I thought inside. Onto the pixel check. Run monitor color screens... freakin' disaster. "Boohoo", I cried out in agony. In the upper left was a mongolian cluster hump of ROY G BIV. 15 stuck subs at least until I stopped counting. Bum deal friends.

Called Dell forthwith and monitor is already with Airborne. I've had flashbacks last longer than the time that monitor stayed in my house. Number 3 on the way. Go ahead, let me have it. I'm far less sensitive to the various self righteous platitudes enyceex endured. Peace

Well...here's my good/bad story...with the 2001fp. First off I'd just like to say that I LOVE this monitor. I ordered one and got it and to my surprise it had NO dead/stuck pixels and NO backlight issue. To say the least I was overjoyed:):) I loved it so much that I had to order another;). Well, I got my second 2001fp and unfortunately there is a little backlight (but not terrible) and 12+ stuck subpixels. With that many stuck subpixels I decided I better go for a new one (I can handle a couple stuck pixels). I got my replacement two days ago and it had the exact same problem yours did...about 30+ stuck subpixels in the upper left corner:(. So of course I sent that one straight back and my third is on the way. Cross my fingers for one a good one....

No one would keep an LCD with 15 stuck pixels. I've got one comming in about a week. Hopefully I will be lucky.

I got lucky I guess. Second one was a charm. First one had the backlighting problem you speak of. I think even the perfect ones will always seem lighter towards the right side for some reason. But I love this second one.

I think it is just the 2001's that have the issues

My 1801 is perfect, glad i bought this instead

good luck on your issues though
