should i get one on ebay for $800ish after shipping?
they do a warranty transfer with some of them.. but i dont know if i would be able to return it to dell if i have any backlight bleed or dead pixels to get a good one.

$1000 is just a tad much.. dunno if i can wait forever for the next dell sale.
 
You cannot transfer warranty on monitors. A transfer of ownership is only done on systems, thus the need of a service tag number.

I'm pretty sure of it, unless they just recently changed their policies.

Honestly, it's better of buying it straight from dell when they're having the sale (which is pretty often)
