This is of course a impossible question to answer but.

I'm in a dilemma. One way I want a big nice screen to go with my GTR2 sim. I tried it (Fujitsu Scaleoview L22) but I was a little disappointed:( with how the textures showed. On my Flat Triniton 19 they showed a bit better in all games actually. Maybe it was the larger pixelsize of the 22 incer.

So I'm thinking going smaller to 20 inch widescreen and a smaller pixelsize for better sharpness.
Is there a noticeable difference? Does a 20 inch wide look sharper then a 22?

Yes 20 inch wide looks alot more sharper and crispier than a 22 inch monitor cause of smaller pixel pitch.

Thx I think I try it.:)
Alas:p I think size matters less since you tend to get used to a specific size. Of course I would choose a 24 inch if I wanted to spend the cash but 22 over 20 is less important

I'm kinda in the same situation, Im currently using a 20 inch Samsung 204bw (purchased it less than a week ago to hold me off till I get my tax return). Now I'm looking to get the 225bw. From what I've read on newegg, the 225bw actually has a smaller pixel pitch (.282mm) than the 204bw (.285mm), so techincally the 225bw would have a sharper image?

(.282mm) than the 204bw (.285mm)

a difference of .003 won't matter much

It will depending on the specs of the monitor and type. A 20" you can get either S-PVA or even an S-IPS type. However, you will most likely get a 6 bit TN panel on the 22" which primarily follow the same specs in dot pitch .282, contrast ratios of 700:1. I had a Sony 20.1 inch LCD and it had a dot pitch of .255 and it was sharp through the DVI connection. The 22" Westinghouse LCD I had cannot compare in image quality and sharpness to that 20.1" Sony LCD.

Both have same resolution, 225bw is 2" bigger so how on earth could the 225bw have a smaller pixel pitch
