20" LCD's: Which is best?

I need 1600x1200 res, so I'm looking at a 20" LCD. We don't have many here in the local shops where I live (BC, Canada), so I'd really like some opinions about which is best.

I'm a graphics & web designer, so colour depth and quality is important. (This is one of the reasons why I've been sticking with my old 19" CRT until now.) In looking at some of the 19" LCD's, the "glossy" ones look to have better colour depth to me... not as washed out.

What model would be recommended, for a 20" LCD with good colour and a fast refresh? (Trying to keep budget under $900 Cdn / $750 US.) All opinions welcome...

Honestly, a person whose job relies on color accuracy such as yourself i recommend you don't rush into your purchase. Familiarize yourself with the different types of LCD panels and proceed from there. There are many many lcd's that would be unsuitable in your line of work so be at least 99% sure before you buy, or buy from a place that offers hassle-free returns. Here's an ok place to familiarize yourself with the different kinds of panels available: http://graphics.tomshardware.com/display/index.html

This advice is coming from a former graphics and web designer who won't retire his crt anytime soon ;)
