So I feel 20.1"s will be a good size monitor for me considering how far away I sit from the screen. I like to play PC games and but I am not too picky about that since I was used to playing on a 16ms TN panel for a while. I also do photo editing and some web development. Oh, and I like to take long walks on the beach...

Anyways here are the options I have come up with...

ViewSonic VX2025WM
Native Res - 1680x1050
Dot Pitch - .258mm
Contrast Ration - 800:1
Display Type - WSXGA
Brightness - 300 cd/m2
Response - 8ms gtg, 16ms wbw

Type - P-MVA

Pros I see:
Small dot pitch

Samsung 204B-Black
Native Res - 1600x1200
Dot Pitch - 0.255mm
Contrast Ration - 800:1
Display Type - UXGA
Brightness - 300 cd/m2
Response - 5ms

Type - a-si TFT/TN LCD

Pros I see:
Smaller dot pitch from viewsonic

SCEPTRE X20G-Naga III
Native Res - 1680x1050
Dot Pitch - 0.255mm
Contrast Ration - 800:1
Display Type - WSXGA+
Brightness - 300 cd/m2
Response - 8ms

Type - Active Matrix, TFT LCD

Pros I see:
Small Dot Pitch

Cons I see:
Some user reviews report colors becoming messed up and monitor no longer working

Dell 2007WFP
Native Res - 1680x1050
Dot Pitch - 0.258mm
Contrast Ration - 800:1
Display Type - WSXGA+
Brightness - 300 cd/m2
Response - 16ms

Type - IPS

Pros I see:
Good reviews

If anyone owns any of these please let me know how you feel about it and if you can post a close up pic of black text on a white background :). It would be much appreciated. Or any close up pics in general. Thanks in advance.

Go with the dell for sure :D
Great Display

think about the LG 204WT theres a pretty lengthy post on it and I can say the monitor is awesome as I'm using it right now. Bought it at Circuit City and they let me test the pannel before I walked out the door, I bought my laptop with a downloaded copy of Dead Pixel Buddy. The Tech ahd never heard of it so asked for a copy so he could do the same thing. Blacks are black and it plays back DVDs well. I did a little NFS: MW gaming and it rocks all in all a great purchase.

They have it in stock at my local Circuit City, ill go have a look at it.

Its a .1" smaller though! =P

I went and tried to view the LG at Circuit City today but they only had VGA hookups available. It still looked pretty decent on VGA however, but still had a very slight blur to it.

I am kind of concerned about gaming on all these monitors, so far I have read that the ViewSonic does really well with this and can still be used well for PHoto Editing. Anyone have any input?

GAMing on the LGL204WT is awsome its beautiful
colors are great most of all the contrast and the sharpness
make this monitor legendary

Is this LG monitor new? I can not find much info on it other than these forums.

And I am nervous to buy it with a 15% restocking fee. Can I take my computer in there?

How well will this LG do with photograpy? Not pro level, but want something accurate.

Go for the NEC 2090UXi if you have the money. Its good for games and excellent for photography.

the only place i know to get the LG is circuitcity
you can go there and see for your self
the NEC is like over 600 dollars
the LG is half the price
photos look good for LCD
