Pondering the idea of ditching my 4x8gb sticks of "B" Die Gskills for a pair of 2 x16gb of ram that will get me 3600+ speeds and still stay in the CL16 zone.... so, with that said, here are my questions:

1) do you think ill be able to switch to 1T command rate using 2 x16gb sticks (Where as on my current 4 stick setup i cant)
2) Is there a good set of B Die 2x16gb sticks out there?
3) should i just keep what i have and not do this?

Currently my 4x8GB sticks are @ 3635Mhz @ 1.39v 16/16/16/35 38tFAW 2T Command...... Just looking / hoping that i can atleast achieve the same OC using 2 sticks while having the same capacity, and gain the same stabilty @ 1T. Ideas and help are appreciated! and hopefully you can link me to something you recommend!

It's the CPU\MB in the way when trying to run 4x8G or 2x16G since I'm guessing running 1.5vdimm doesn't help?
To do well with 2x16GB you would need something like Z390 Apex.
4x8GB should OC better than 2x16GB provided you have the right MB.

your best bet is to get a 3200c14 32gb b-die kit and try to oc it to 3600 BUT most 16gb modules wont do 3600 c16. so its up to you if you want to make a $400 gamble. i would stick with what you have and try to hit 1t with it.

The fastest low latency 2x16 kits I see are 3200C14 (b-die ofc) so going that way is good luck only.

What is your 4x8 built from? If you bought a pair of the 3600C15 kits (no RGB, only red top available) it should work with 4 dimms (2DPC) on intel and good boards. I can almost get them that high as 4x8 on a TR 2950x (quad is 1DPC) which is a million times more picky.

If you bought the 3200C14 or 3600C16 (which do have RGB and multiple color options) then you might be SOL / silicon lottery as they didn't bin it that high.

these are my current sticks of memory .... https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232207 .. These are B Die ram as far as i know, and tbh, I have NOT pushed them hard at all as my current OC on them is all ive tried as stated in 1st post (3635mhz @ CL16/16/16/35 2T 1.38v ... Zero mem issues with testing and gaming, etc... was just thinking (and I could be 10000% wrong) that my IMC would OC better using 2 x 16Gb sticks instead of 4 x 8gb sticks, but then got to reading that 16gb sticks are dual rank, and I might be working backwards and I might be just fine with what i currently have. What do you think i can push these sticks too, and what is the max Voltage I can send to them without degration?

I would be happy with 1.45vdimm for 24\7 use with 1.5vdimm being considered borderline for the memory controller.
There is some good info in this thread https://www.overclock.net/forum/5-i...-intel-ddr4-24-7-memory-stability-thread.html

This is the settings somebody else managed there but top end Asus MB tend to be more forgiving when running 4 sticks of RAM than other MB.
Maybe you can try similar V settings and if nothing else try tighten your sub timings closer to his.

16gb modules just dont oc as well as 8gb modules unfortunately, solid 3200c14 8gb b-die can hit 4k with c18-c19. 16gb b-die will be lucky to hit 3600 c18-20. yours are b-die ics and very good ones from what youve posted. seriously if they will hit 3600c16 at that voltage you should have a ton of headroom. i agree with Dasa in that 1.45v is as far as i go for daily use. for benching 1.5-1.55 is as high as will go. id say with that mb/cpu/mem combo youll hit 4000 c19. im jealous, my b-die will hardly do 3600 c16-18-18 1.45v! my mb isnt the greatest mem ocer either, evga x99classified :(
gl and have fun!

thanks for the replies guys, will work on this tomorrow when i get off shift. appreciate it greatly
