Trying to move to a redundant setup of drives for my home computer.
I need about 1-1.5TB of storage (Pictures, Movies, Music, etc). I also want at least 500GB (Preferably 1TB) for my OS, Games, etc.
I was going to go for 2 x 750's in a RAID 1, and 2 x 1TB Green's in 2nd RAID 1.
Now that I think about it, I'm wondering if it would be viable to go for either 4 x 750GB or 4 x 1TB in a RAID 10 instead.
Thoughts? I know the differences in redundancy, I'm just curios as to whether or not the upgrade to RAID 10 over RAID 1 is worth it, in the case of a desktop.
I will be keeping compressed Windows System Backups to a 1TB External drive (No redundancy) in either case
