Is there any reviews/test on TWO 4870x2 card in crossfire? Would like to see if the performance gains are worth it or not.

I wouldn't bother with it personally. HD 4870 1Gb Crossfire or an X2 would be fine in most situations. If you want a boost over an X2 @ 1920x1200 and up with AA get a HD 4870 1Gb add it to the mix, or run 3 HD 4870 1Gb cards if you motherboard allows it.

I wouldn't run something like an X2 plus and HD 4870 1Gb card on anything less than a 1920x1200 monitor, and then only if you use fairly heavy amounts of AA.

Here are two examples representing the good and the bad. It takes a fairly demanding game to see a decent return from an X2 plus HD 4870 1Gb. Of course cranking up AA would make it more meaningful.

Two 4870x2 would just be sick. Other then bragging rights, it'd just be a waste of money and a huge waste of power....
