first off. Just curious about the temps of my cpu.
Im running the prescott 3.2 ghz from my sig, and its running about 52c on idle, but around 60c on full load. . .is this normal for this type of processor? because i hear of amd's running in the 40's. Right now im using a zalman 7000c Alcu LED? i thinkt that's the model number.

as for the other problem im running this on a 1bit IC7G, which has this stock NB heatsink/fan that runs pretty loud. I was wondering if i could install a coolermaster NB heatsink because i would have to use thermal adhesive which is semi-permanent from what i hear, so i would have to know if its worth it before i '"take the plunge"

any real help is appreciated. My system runs pretty well, just messing with the airflow and thinking of modding my tsunami dream a bit by removing the top USB ports and cutting a blowhole for an extra 120mm i have lying around

First off, your temps are fine, Prescotts get hotter than AMDs and are fine up to 65c.


Second, if you want to replace the NB heatsink just use Arctic Ceramique, they both come off eaisily with alcohol as long as you don't get the epoxy version. Don't use AS5, it is slightly capacitive, and it is very easy to accidentally get some on the exposed circuitry of the NB.
