I am using 2 19" from a docking station at work. Each one is running at 1280x1024.

What I want is both my 19" screens to run as 1 monitor at 2560x1024 so I can use my laptop screen as well.

I know the duelhead2go can do this but I don't really want to spend 100 bucks for something that I'm just going to use at work. Any cheaper options or a way to get a duelhead2go for less?

first, matrox 2go series costs more than double the price you mentioned.
A simple usb2vga will cost from 50-100 bucks.
You could also use a software solution like Maxivista but will need a second pc/laptop on a LAN and again will cost from $30-$100 depending on the version.
There is a freeware vnc software but is much slower than Maxivista.

No way.

I wouldn't even be running one monitor via USB. It will be utter shit.

Well I would only need 1 monitor running on the usb.

1 19" usb
1 19" from docking station
1 14" on notebook.

for a total of 3 screens.
