1. Can you 'surf' the web with out fees? Does it count towards minute limits/time of day fees/etc? In other words, constant 24-7 web usage (despite battery limit) would be free?

2. Is it flash based or HD based? I assume flash since it is 8 GB?

the iPhone plans include unlimited data transfer, this would include internet...so yes you could surf all you wanted without any fees (besides your monthly contract).

Flash based

1 - When you look at the rate plans displayed on http://www.apple.com/iphone/pr/20070626plans.html, where it says "Unlimited Data", which part is giving you the most trouble? "Unlimited"? or "Data"?

2 - Flash. Otherwise, there'd be no reason to limit to only 8GB and the device would be thicker.

Thanks guys. I had seen 'unlimited data' on a site somewhere, but it was for a 200 dollar plan, so I assumed it was special only to that plan. There's no way I can swing 200 a month. Half that is a different story.
I am actually more interested in the Internet feature than phone feature, lol.

The iPhone has dedicated and specific plans. Viewable here or here.
