We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

I have a HT P4 running Win 2000. There's no question about XP's superior performance for single applications supporting HT. Even though Win 2000 detects both virtual processors, I wish to know if I'm better off running Win XP with native HT support for F@H and multiple clients?

Second, if I decide to migrate to XP, can I just keep my current F@H folders and resume my current WUs, or do I have to reinstal the clients? I remember something about the registry in another thread, but search is down.

multiple clients i think was everyones agreement... HT still shows up as "dual" cpu's in xp

i prefer installing new ones... just me

If you're concerned about losing work, just wait until both of your WU's are finished and then do your XP upgrade.

What Matt said, but I have moved them to safety while doing a reinstall....worked great.

My main concern is whether I should upgrade at all. I am already running two clients in the Win 2000 installation and want to know if it's worth the bother upgrading to XP because of native HT support.
