I have an Intel 875PBZ Motherboard, 9800XT, 3.2GHZ P4 and 1GB Kingston Hyper X DDR3200. Antec Truepower 380watt.

Starting today if I turn the PC off I will get the power disconnected message for the 9800 but if I unplug and replug in the power it works fine.

Also I am getting memory errors but I rmad the memory a few months ago so I dont really think it could have gone bad again (it was initually bad)

Do you think that my motherboard is just flaking out? This is really frusterating as I was wanting to sell my system.

for an Intel mobo its quite unlikely...try to flash bios see how it maks out..

I assume your memory errors are with Memtest86 / 86+, right?

You'll get errors a-plenty with Intel MoBo's that don't have the latest BIOS. I had a couple of 875PBZ's that would hard lock, requiring a power cycle on test 5, everytime. There was an issue with many of the original BIOS' that (as I'm told) caused "false" errors with these tests. Flash the BIOS with the latest version, and you may take care of both your issues....

875BPZ's are great MoBo's. No worries there, IMHO......

Good Luck - B.B.S.

Yes Memtest.

Sadly I already have the newest bios updates.

I am reallly tired of dealing with this system, as I thought I had this cleared up months ago and then it resurfaced.

I think I will RMA the video card and memory, then just piece it out and trash the motherboard.

At least that way I know the drives I have are all good and when I get the other parts back I can just sell those.

Well it appears it was the memory, put in an old 128mb stick and no errors. Owell.
