I want to run 4 monitors on a AMD SLI system and I have no available PCI slots.. so my thought is to get 1 GeForce 7800GT and 1 Geforce 6200TC..

My question is do I need to set the motherboard to SLI and simply not enable it in the Nvidia Control Panel to run all 4 screens?

Or do I leave the motherboard in Normal mode?

Correct, You would enable SLI in the mobo (to get 8x by 8x) and not enable in the software (not sure it would let you anyways). You might not even want to change it to 8x by 8x I personally would probably leave it at 16x by 2x.
