I found a 160 gig internal hard drive at my circuit city for $30 (after MIR). I asked HP tec support if my PC supported a 2nd hard drive. They said I needed another Hard Drive "cage." They even supplied me with a link to one that HP sells. I am wondering if you can simply buy one at like Newegg or elsewhere for cheaper prices. The cage they showed me was a "Hdw Kit for 2nd HDD Mojave Gobi Chas" I am just wonder if there is a cheaper route to go with this. Thanks

External Enclosure?

If you are just using it for storage I would go this route. Then it can be USB and you can take it anywhere you need it at.

If you have an empty 5.25 bay just grab a set of 3.5 to 5.25 mounting brackets. You should be able to find them most anywhere.

Retail HDDs actually used to come with them up until a couple of years ago.

They also have kits that have these same brackets and a faceplate with a fan/fans to keep the drive cool if you want to help keep that new HDD cool.

you could also go with zalman 3.5" to 5.25" bay. the reason i bought this as opposed to something with a fan is so i did not have to deal with an extra noise. the price is about the same as any other drive mounting kit, without the noise.
