Ok...I have started folding again and have all of 2 questions. I am running the OSX version on my work box Dual 1.25 G4 but for some reason it doesn't look like it is taking advantage of both CPUs? I have run it before and had both maxed out not problem but now they are either running at 50% or only one is maxed....second question is if I had been folding for another group (I know I know) can those be transfered to the [H]?

I believe that this thread might have some information that will help. There are some links about midway through the thread for using the console client on macs and setting it up with different machine ID's and the -local flag.

As for the second question, I don't believe you can transfer already completed point, as Stanford will just update your entry with an additional line for the team you're currently folding for.

You wake up too early Phantom.

Heh.... that was only 6:09, most of my early posts are around 4:30 or so. Getting up early is a pain!

I used to :)
my commute is down to 10 minutes though.. walking :)

i start at 8:30... so come 8:00 im like... well.
time to take a shower..

By 8 am, I've already put in 2 hours. Get up at 4, leave at 5:30, half hour drive, and start work at 6. Gets me out of the office early in the afternoon so I can enjoy the day.

true true.. i used to wake up at ~5am... out the door at 6... on the train at 7...
at work at 8:30... off at 5.. back on the train at 5:30... home by 7pm... eat
sleep.. repeat..

10 minutes is easier to deal with..

didn't get much sleep last night (starting remodel and have e sick wife so I slept in the computer room) :p and it sucks about the WUs..had 879 WUs and 11146 points :(

edit: well it looks like I will need to load the console version as well but I could have sworn that I didn't have to do that and usually all it took was a restart of the client...oh well...something to do tomorrow

You don't always sleep in the computer room? :p Anyhow, welcome to the [H]orde, hug a moose, get your [H]'s and feel free to bug us all you'd like!

As stated above, points earned under one team/name stay there... there's no way to move the points...

The link given above should help... This issue came up yesterday, and a few of us non-Mac guys pointed a fellow folder in the right direction...

In order to max out a PC, you should have one client for every CPU...

Keep on Folding!!

I only sleep in the comp room when there is no couch in the living room!! but thanks for the links and I now have my PC folding too

There should be a MAC folding install guide showing up on www.hardfolding.com very soon it was submitted to King and with fingers crossed will make a easy transition to the site.
magnusvir put it together and it looks good. Hell I think I could setup a MAC after the guide hehe

its already up on hardfolding

And that is the place we should send ppl first. I like your stuff DK but we need ppl to use the hardfolding site as their one stop shoping network. How would you feel about handing some of you updated guides over to the hardfolding site? I think it would be a great addition.
