2 different nvidia videocards ?

I have a GTX 275 at the moment with a monitor and a projector plugged in, but would like to have my second monitor plugged in too.

Can I just buy a cheap nvidia videocard (like the 8400gs passive) and plug my third "monitor" on it ? I think I read somewhere this is possible but would like some kind of confirmation, I'm willing to put a bit more money on the second videocard if necessary, but don't think it's really worth it.

very doable. But if you're going through all that trouble might I suggest getting a 9800gt/gtx so you can run dedicated physx? Now if you don't care about that at all yeah 8400gs is great.

yeha I thought about a dedicated physX card, but I've been playing BFBC2 and I think my videocard + core i7 can very much handle the physX in games for the time being ... I'll think about it :p
 
If you're already going to have the second card in there, might as well put it to work. Any card with more then 96 shader cores should do the job nicely. Which would be any card with 88, 98, or 250 in the name.
