2 cards better than 1 for physx processing?

Hey guys. I have 1 580 gtx in my system right now. But I have a 275gtx laying around. Would it be better for the 580 to do everything or would it be worth it to install the 275 and dedicate it to physx processing?

You'll get better performance from adding the GTX 275 in. Don't know how much of the 275 will be used though.
 
I have a GTX 580 and when I first put the rig together I was trying to discern a difference w/my old 8800GTS 640MB doing physx vs just the 580. I kept playing that Mafia II lvl where the building is exploding and honestly it was really finicky. It'd seem like either config would randomly be better.

There's a cutoff as to which cards are good enough to provide an advantage. I can't find the article but I think your 275 would fit the bill. You will prob get some performance increases.

In all honesty, tho, the 580 is pretty powerful and I think it will be less noticable than say if a GTX 460 was your primary card. As well, some games it's not worth it. Metro 2033, for example, hardly uses PhysX, at least from what I could tell.

Me? nVidia drivers stopped recognizing my 8800GTS a few days later so I just took it out. If a really demanding game that uses PhysX comes out one day maybe I'll try to get it working again.

EDIT: If you haven't thought of this already... Make sure adding the extra card will not overload your PSU. It would suck to have your 580 limited because your 275 is sucking up power to enhance one or two games you like to play!
