2.8C Price cut

I think the price will be cheaper than it is now. What exactly are you asking.
 
Is it enough to make it worth a purchase when the Prescott 2.8 debuts at nearly the same price? Sorry I didn't make the previous post very clear.

If you want a new P4 at that time, go with the prescott over 2.8c, the prices will be equal.

No one really knows yet. Some boards will probably work with them even though they don't *officially* support the FMB 1.5 spec

Nobody knows officially, but some experiences with prescott samples to some show that more then likely you will be able to use any 865/875 board which may just require a bios update at worst.

They discussing whether the difference between Prescott 2.8C and Northwood 2.8C is appreciable, along with price concerns, not if the current one is nice or not.
