ive ran p95 (2 instances) for 3 hours (only because i had to go to sleep) with winamp with an approx 1100x500 vis +q3 , etc etc ,

SPECS:

Abit ic7G / 400 watt future power PS/ voltages= 1.6cpu, 2.7ddr, 1.6agp
2 Raptors raided on intel chip only
Kingston Hyper x pc4000 (ddr500)
ATI AIW 9800Pro
Water cooled w/Swiftech's 22501P™"EXTREME" SERIES LIQUID COOLING KITS + MCW50 + a fan blowing on the mosfet's around the cpu *usual temps 31c/sys 40c/cpu and 35c/pwm

OK now my ?

almost throughout any overclock past 220 the only thing that will make it reboot is watching a clip/movie on windows media player(v9)
IM curious is it the agp voltage and what affects does v1.65 have on this card, thie samsungs are pretty damn hot @ 1.5

also this DDR is rated for 500mhz, which would be 250 @ 1000mhz and it wont pass 220? inorder for me to get to 3.450 i have to use a divider!

ive read this thread waiting for a reply, and im thinking that the DDR came up in my long last questions, Have i answered myself?

have you raised the ram voltage? the pc4000 stuff usually requires voltages greater than the stock settings in order to attain 250mhz.

the highest ive had it was 2.7, i think ive tried 2.8 with little or no luck. im not sure were ive read it but correct me if im wrong, this mobo ic7g doesnt put out the correct (undervolt) voltages?

Hey, have you checked the ram timings? You may want to relax those a bit..

LOL, smartass. :p I'm just curious, rahbert, what did you have the timings at to start, and what did you change them to that allowed you 250mhz operation?

im having a similar problem with my system right now, see sig for my specs. it doesnt want to stay stable at 3.2. how much extra voltage would the ram need to run at its rated pc4200 speed? i had it at 2.6, 2.65 and it still wasnt stable, i had it running at 2.7 last night for a long time, so far 2.7 seems like it stabalizes it but i was under the impression that the ram should run at the pc4200 speed at stock voltage

ENRIL- At the start i had them 2.5-3-3-7 (changed them manually to 3-4-4-8) I think if I remember correctly, thats what the AUTO or "by SPD" setting set it at by default.

acas - You should definately check the OCZ site, or even newegg. if i remember correctly, the ocz might start its voltages @ 2.7 especially for pc4200

Wait i just checked- and IT STARTS @ 2.8!!! here is the quote-

I was in the same predicament as you, figuring it should just run at those speeds out the box, when the fact is it is just hand picked overclocked memory, with relaxed timings to be able to acheive such high bandwidth and as i have the same mobo as you, our mem voltage ends @ 2.8.

I run the 2.8C M0 at 250MHz FSB on an IC7-G. Corsair PC4000 mem at 2.5,4,4,7. I run at 1.55 volts and 2.8 for the mem. Run Prime95 and SuperPI simlutaneously for stress testing without problems. ran OK with an Alpha PAL before switching to Corsair Hydrocool 200 - both stable but water is much cooler at load. I have only been running a few weeks so I haven't had time to push it. I run two SATA drives in RAID 0 on the ICH5R also. PS is an Antec TrueBlue 480.

cool guys, thanks alot, i was running at 2.6! :(

hopefully thatll stabalize it
